Department of Commerce GDC, Kargil in collaboration with Controller General of Patents Designs & Trademarks, Govt. of India organized a seminar on intellectual property rights (IPRs) as part of a National intellectual property arewness Mission (NIPAM)and 75th Azadi ka amrit mahotsav. The seminar was attended by faculties and students of different departments of the college. The experts for the said program were Mr. Vipin Kumar, Examiner of Patents and Design and Prashant Singh Examiner of Patents and Design. The experts enlightened the audience about intellectual property, its types and the benefits of registering ones creation/invention under the intellectual property. Both the speakers thoroughly explained the topic substantiated with examples and concluded their presentation with a quiz. Officiating Principal GDC Kargil, Sr. Asstt. Prof. Saleem Ahmad and Asst. Prof. Abazar, head of department commerce graced the program with their presence. Asst. Prof. Sonam Gyalson formally welcomed the speakers and the participants. The program was moderated by Asst Prof. Shujat Ali Mir and finally Asst. Prof. Stanzin Norphail offered the formal vote of thanks.
