GDC Kargil organizes awareness program, on-site registration for ABH IDs
Kargil, March 24, 2023:
Government Degree College Kargil in collaboration with Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), Ladakh today organized an awareness program and on-site registration for Ayushman Bharat Health IDs as a part of Janbhagidari under G20/Y20 celebration.
The program started with the welcome address by Dr Javed Iqbal, officiating Principal, GDC Kargil. ABDM team informed the students and staff about the creation of the ABHA ID using different online platforms, including the ABDM website, the ABHA app and Online Registration System (ORS).
They further discussed in detail about the Ayushman Bharat Health ID and its benefits. Assigned to every Indian citizen, a unique digital health identity is a part of the National Digital Health Mission (NDHM) that aims to provide universal health coverage to all citizens.
It also enables citizens to access their health records, book appointments with doctors, and avail themselves of various health services.
As a part of on-site registration process, the students were instructed to download the ABHA app to proceed further in registration process and learn about functions of the ABHA app.
Team members also helped the participants in resolving various problems while using the app and other technical issues.
