Department of Environmental Science, Govt. Degree College Kargil embarked on an enlightening journey to Suru Valley, Kargil, brimming with the promise of discovery and learning. The expedition, comprising 6th-semester students and their junior counterparts from the 4th semester, unfolded against the breathtaking backdrop of Ladakh's rugged terrain.
Our inaugural stop immersed us in the visionary world of Engineer Ahmad Ali, MD and founder of Ladakh Organic and Green Imitative Consultancy (LOGIC) nestled in the quaint confines of Kanoor village. Here, amidst the verdant expanse of Logic Agri Farm, Engineer Ahmad Ali unveiled the marvels of sustainable agriculture. His fervent advocacy for water conservation and indigenous plant cultivation ignited a spark of inspiration among us. We marveled at his innovative utilization of drip and sprinkler irrigation systems, witnessing firsthand the harmony between modern techniques and traditional wisdom.
