Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav: GDC Kargil organizes day-long career counselling session

As a part of various events being organised in the college under Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav, career counselling and placement of the college in collaboration with the Department of Biotechnology, Botany, Physics and commerce organised a day long career counselling session and interactive program in the conference Hall of the college for Final year and Graduate students of the college.
Vice Principal of the college Prof. Salim Ahmad was chief guest on the occasion. In his address the Principal of the college lauded the efforts of career counselling and Placement cell and stressed that such career counselling programs are necessary for the benefit of outgoing students and talked about looking into strengths and weaknesses while choosing a career option.
Dr. Imtiyaz Hussain while speaking on the occasion talked about job opportunities and entrance examinations for higher studies in institutes like TIFR, IISc and IITs.
Dr.Tundup Namgyal elaborated about various fellowships after Post Graduation and Graduation which included JRF examination for both science and Arts streams.
Dr.Stanzin Norphail during his talk explained about the nuances of banking examination. He talked about the eligibility criterias, various types of Bank Exams and their components to explore career in Banking sector.
Following the talks by experts the session was open for Q&A and students clarified their queries and were very enthusiastic.
The proceedings of the program were conducted by Assistant Professor Mr. Mohd Raza Convener career counselling.
Assistant professor Mr Mumtaz Ahmad supervised the session and presented the vote of thanks.
Among those who were present on the occasion included Mr. Khadim Ul Hasnain looking after the technical issues of the session ,other faculty members and Graduate students from different institutes/colleges across the district.
