Department of Biotechnology and Department of Biochemistry jointly conducted an online webinar 'Studying Immunity through Flow Cytometry' on the Google Meet platform on Saturday, October 30.
Dr. Kunzes Angmo started with the session by welcoming guest speaker, Dr. Smanla Tundup, Staff Scientist II, Lapcorp Drug Development, Indianapolis US.
Dr. Smanla talked about basic immunology and immune response. He discussed host-pathogen interaction and anti-viral immunity of Influenza A virus and SARS-CoV2. Later, he discussed Flow Cytometry, an advanced and widely used immunotechnique in biological research.
Dr. Smanla expressed deep thanks for organizing such event and providing opportunity to share science with native students of Ladakh. He also conveyed best wishes to students for their future career.
The session was concluded with vote of thanks by Dr. Kunzes Angmo, Biotechnology (Session's Convener).
