Report
On 23rd March 2023, the GDC Kargil Awareness Team on NEP 2020 conducted its awareness program at Jafferia Academy of Modern Education Higher Secondary School(JAME), Kargil .
Speakers on the occasion were Mr Stanzin Norphail, Assistant Professor of commerce and Mr Sajjad Hussain, Assistant professor of Chemistry. Both speakers spoke at length about NEP 2020. Mr Norphail while sharing the presentation focused on the overview of NEP 2020 and Academic Bank of Credit(ABC) whereas Mr Sajad using the whiteboard explained the FYUGP curriculum framework. Students showed keen interest in the session and expressed happiness about the flexibility in NEP 2020 and the offer of diverse courses.
The latter half was devoted to the questioning answers session. Various questions were placed before the speakers regarding different aspects such as Major- Minor courses in the NEP 2020, Entry- exit options, Credit transfer and redemption etc.
Mr Khadim, the IT in-charge of the college was responsible for managing the IT tools.
Lastly, the team expressed thanks to the Principal, teachers and students for their support. The principal also appreciated the initiative of the college and considered the session much needed given the implementation of NEP all across the nation.
