GDC Kargil and Power Grid India Observed VIGILANCE AWARENESS WEEK

On the eve of Vigilance Awareness Week, Government Degree College Kargil in association Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd organized a debate contest on the theme, 'India @75 Self Reliance with Integrity'. The debate contest had 70 registrations and 15 participants expressed their views on the theme. On the occasion, Mr Syed Shamim, DGM Powergrid Corporation of India was the Chief guest with Mr. Balwinder Kumar Chief Manager Power Grid India as Guest of Honour. Dr. Javed Naqi, Officiating Principal presented the welcome address and appreciated Powergrid India for supporting the event. The Chief Guest in his presidential address spoke about the importance of the Vigilance Week and impressed upon the participants to actively work to curb the menace of corruption.
The winners of the debate are Ms Faiza Naaz (1st Sem) First Position, Ms Kaneez Fatima (4th Sem) Second position, Ms Kaneez Fatima (4th Sem) Third Position, Ms Sajida Bulbul (5th Sem) Fourth Position. Besides, all the participating debators are presented momentoes recognising their participation in the event. At the end Mr. Bakwinder Kumar delivered the vote of thanks.
The entire proceeding of the events are conducted by Mr. Sajad Hussain HoD Environmental Sciences GDC Kargil. Dr. Syed Ali Shah, HoD Psychology and Ms. Hakeema Bano HoD English were in the judging panel.
